Field-by-field comparison

Compare the evidence before choosing an MCP.

Each signal stays separate, missing facts remain visible, and the column order follows your selection.

Uncheck an MCP to remove it. Comparing two or three keeps each signal in its own row.

Task fit
Best for
  • CloudBase developers who want AI-assisted management of apps, databases, functions, storage and related CloudBase resources.
  • Connect compatible AI clients to HashiCorp's documented MCP capabilities.
Not ideal for
  • Users who only need read-only CloudBase documentation or who cannot isolate cloud credentials.
  • Users who need a fully reviewed MCP100 recommendation today
Avoid when
  • Do not supply broad Tencent Cloud credentials to an untrusted client or allow deployment/database mutations without confirmation.
  • Permissions, credentials, and connected data cannot be tested with least privilege

Access and data
AuthenticationLocal/hosted configurations can use Tencent Cloud SecretId/SecretKey and optional session token/environment identifiers as documented.HCP Terraform/TFE API tokens; remote client may pass per-user TFE_TOKEN
CostTencent Cloud/CloudBase resource, API, storage/compute and AI-provider charges can apply.HCP/TFE/run costs may apply
PermissionsPotentially broad cloud control: database writes, resource management and deployment authority depend on the supplied cloud credentials and enabled tools.HCP Terraform/TFE RBAC
Data handlingCloudBase application data, database content and resource metadata requested by tools can be exposed to the AI client/provider.registry/HCP/TFE data may reach connected MCP client/LLM
Limitations
Tradeoffs
  • Promoted after strict re-audit: canonical identity and MCP-native/publisher-backed implementation are sufficiently evidenced, with real workflow value, usable documentation, understandable permissions, plausible maintenance, and no unresolved security veto. Still not strong enough for Recommended.
  • Publisher attribution supports discovery, but does not replace an independent permissions and usability review.
Risk contextBroad cloud-management credentials and write/deploy tools make least privilege and manual confirmation important.stdio/localhost defaults; strict CORS; TLS verify on; rate limits; ENABLE_TF_OPERATIONS=false by default
