Additional setup details required — see the specific gaps below.
Install / connect
Publisher instructionsFor HTTP access use AnkiMCP addon code `124672614` directly in Anki. For stdio use this repository with Node.js >=22.12 and AnkiConnect installed; register `npx @ankimcp/anki-mcp-server --stdio` in your MCP client.
npx @ankimcp/anki-mcp-server --stdioConfigure / authenticate
Publisher instructionsConfirm Anki with AnkiConnect installed and running. For Claude Desktop MCPB use Settings > Extensions and install the downloaded .mcpb bundle; for npm/stdio clients use the publisher JSON/command for the selected client. Review deck/card modification permissions.

Suggested checkWith Anki and AnkiConnect active, inspect Anki MCP tool discovery and fetch a harmless deck list. Avoid creating/changing/deleting cards to test the connection.
Remove / uninstall / revoke
MCP100 setup guideIf using the Anki addon, disable/remove addon code 124672614 in Anki’s Add-ons manager. If using a local stdio client entry, remove the `anki-mcp`/configured entry from that client. If globally installed separately, `npm uninstall -g @ankimcp/anki-mcp-server`. In the MCP client settings remove only the `mcpServers.anki-mcp` entry and restart/reload. This is a concrete client disconnect, separate from uninstalling the local package.
npm uninstall -g @ankimcp/anki-mcp-server
