MCP100 Assessment
Watchlist / Tracking
Why we’re tracking it
Track extension and client compatibility because browser-hosted MCP configuration changes
Reviewed · Documentation review; complete setup workflow not independently tested
Best fit
Users turning the DeepSeek web experience into a browser-native agent workspace.
What we know
An archived browser extension adding MCP, memory, skills, browser control, web reading/search and automation to DeepSeek workflows.
Maintenance / activity evidence
- Observed (UTC)fix(sidepanel): 后台冷启动 transport 重试与友好提示(issue 564)
Tracking evidence observed Oct 5, 2026. These dated signals do not establish current maintenance. Reviewed enrichment confidence: high.
Verification gaps / watch-outs
- Installation and comprehensive security have not been independently audited.
- Browser extension and connected-tool permissions. Writes: Browser operations; Downloads; Tool execution; Scheduled tasks.
- DeepSeek login/API key plus downstream MCP credentials
- Sensitive access: Page contents, Files, Conversation history, MCP outputs
- The extension combines browser control, external AI, MCP tools and persistent memory; archived status adds maintenance risk.
Full authority, access and evidence limits are available in Review context and Access & risk.

All limitations / Review context
Which MCP server management and browser capabilities remain supported?
The bounded assessment reviewed the official README, repository notices, security policy path, and security page for known material public-tracking blockers. No such blocker was identified. This is a public-tracking assessment, not an installation safety certification.
- The extension combines browser control, external AI, MCP tools and persistent memory; archived status adds maintenance risk.
- Browser extension and connected-tool permissions.
- DeepSeek login/API key plus downstream MCP credentials
- Page content, conversations and persistent memory may be processed.
- Reviewed write actions: Browser operations; Downloads; Tool execution; Scheduled tasks
- Sensitive access: Page contents, Files, Conversation history, MCP outputs
- Installation, client compatibility and comprehensive security have not been independently audited. Authentication and access depend on the configured services.
- A project-specific SECURITY.md policy was not available at the fetched official path; the review remains limited to published repository notices.
- No installation, runtime, client matrix, or complete tool-contract audit was performed in this review.
- The fetched official SECURITY.md path returned HTTP 404; it was not treated as positive evidence.
- Repository was archived in September 2026.
- Browser/MCP permissions are broad and maintenance continuity is uncertain.

Download / install
Publisher instructionsPublisher requires a multistep setup; follow the source and configuration instructions, no invented one-line installer.
Configure application / integrations
MCP100 setup guideDeepSeek++ is a browser extension. MCP native hosts require the companion `deepseek-pp-multimodal-mcp` or `deepseek-pp-shell-host` extension Native Messaging installers and a valid browser extension ID. Do not equate extension installation with standalone stdio MCP registration. Previously reviewed Chrome Native Messaging example; separate from standalone MCP registration: DeepSeek++ is a browser extension MCP host; install the extension first and use its sidebar MCP controls. Native host optional: npx deepseek-pp-multimodal-mcp install --browser chrome --extension-id <EXTENSION_ID>. Shell host npx deepseek-pp-shell-host install ... grants local command execution: explicitly opt in and require tool approvals; README says new MCP services default to auto-execute, so switch to manual before untrusted use.
Check connection
Suggested checkVerify browser native-host registration and extension MCP tool/status page; avoid shell execution in a smoke test.
Disconnect / uninstall / revoke
MCP100 setup guideDisable/uninstall the DeepSeek++ browser extension and remove its matching native messaging host only using the publisher’s specific installer/extension management instructions. The command requires browser/extension ID, and a matching uninstall subcommand is not independently established here; do not run a guessed one.
Client removal, software uninstall, persistent-data deletion and credential revocation are separate actions.
