MCP100 Assessment
Watchlist / Tracking
Why we’re tracking it
Track host integrations and knowledge-base tool changes as the app evolves
Reviewed · Documentation review; complete setup workflow not independently tested
Best fit
Individuals or teams self-hosting an AI-enabled notes and knowledge workspace.
What we know
An open-source AI-native knowledge base with sync, clipping, attachments, databases, publishing and MCP/ACP integrations.
Maintenance / activity evidence
- Observed (UTC)docs: compress best practices showcase images
Tracking evidence observed Oct 5, 2026. These dated signals do not establish current maintenance. Reviewed enrichment confidence: high.
Verification gaps / watch-outs
- Installation and comprehensive security have not been independently audited.
- Application admin/workspace permissions. Writes: Create/edit/sync/publish content.
- Admin password
- Sensitive access: Notes, Files, Chat history
- A knowledge base can contain sensitive personal/team data; secure administrator credentials and avoid the public demo for private content.
Full authority, access and evidence limits are available in Review context and Access & risk.

All limitations / Review context
Which MCP transports and knowledge workflows does EdgeEver currently support?
The bounded assessment reviewed the official README, repository notices, security policy path, and security page for known material public-tracking blockers. No such blocker was identified. This is a public-tracking assessment, not an installation safety certification.
- A knowledge base can contain sensitive personal/team data; secure administrator credentials and avoid the public demo for private content.
- Application admin/workspace permissions.
- Admin password
- Notes, attachments and imported chat history are stored in the selected deployment.
- Reviewed write actions: Create/edit/sync/publish content
- Sensitive access: Notes, Files, Chat history
- Installation, client compatibility and comprehensive security have not been independently audited. Authentication and access depend on the configured services.
- A project-specific SECURITY.md policy was not available at the fetched official path; the review remains limited to published repository notices.
- No installation, runtime, client matrix, or complete tool-contract audit was performed in this review.
- The fetched official SECURITY.md path returned HTTP 404; it was not treated as positive evidence.
- Exact MCP transport/auth details
- Public demo resets daily and is not for private data.
- Cloudflare/Docker deployment and AI provider configuration vary.
- MCP endpoint/auth details are not fully documented.

bun install bun run devConfigure application / integrations
MCP100 setup guideCommands are local development steps in source checkout, not a published global MCP server. Refer to README for application login and resource setup.
Check connection
Suggested checkAfter Cloudflare Worker deployment GET `/api/health` and `/api/openapi.json` per README; for self-hosted use the matching documented setup. A local dev UI opening alone is not sufficient.
Disconnect / uninstall / revoke
MCP100 setup guideRemove the EdgeEver remote MCP connection from the AI client; revoke a token in EdgeEver Profile > API / MCP only when applicable. For self-hosted Docker, stop the stack using the compose file in `~/edgeever`, retaining persistent storage by omitting -v.
Client unregistration, program uninstall, persistent-data deletion, and credential revocation must be treated separately.
